About Angelina Whittaker Cook
I trained in a variety of ways. In the beginning I studied with John Pisani, who himself had studied under John Singer-Sargent at the Royal Academy Schools, and had an academic training based on life drawing. I then studied fine art part time at St Martins School of Art and also Technical illustration at the London College of Printing for my work in a drawing office. In my 30's I took a degree whilst studying with John Titchell ARA and Fred Cumming RA and became an art and ceramics teacher. Last year I was elected as a Fellow with the Fellowship of Professional and Amateur artists. I have now retired from teaching although still keep my hand in with a small art group and I'm working on a body of work associated with the Colne and Blackwater estuaries where I live. I have had solo exhibitions At Kent University, The Britannia Building Society in Ashford, Kent and Fingringhoe Wick Nature Reserve. I exhibit regularly at Wellingborough Museum and Mersea Island Museum....
